Guarnaschelli began her journey into the culinary world in the kitchen watching mom, who was in charge of editing cookbooks in the early days, test many recipes. Following her time working with Larry Forgione, she worked in various restaurants, like Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot in New York France Los Angeles. She became the chief chef of Butter. Guarnaschelli is a Food Network Iron Chef America contestant, who was competing against Cat Cora for the Farmers Market Battle of 2007 on Iron Chef America. Guarnaschelli has since been an Iron Chef America judge and, in 2011, competed on The Next Iron Chef season four, where she finished third runner-up. In addition, she competed on the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast but fell short. After the fourth season, she became Geoffrey Zakarian's sous-chef.
